Well I starting taking my project blazer apart...which is now called camok5.
I took the interior sides off, unbolted the bench seat, and for 1 hour, tried to get the window down...looks like I will have to take the top off to get the window out (it never worked) so that was a P.O. then I found ALOT of rust under the carpet... and the whole tailgate is trash, its rusted out... pics will follow tonight when I take the top off, and when it cools down I will take more stuff out.

this afternoon I took the top off, took out the carpet, took out the center console. and tried to take out one of the seats... darn rust has them in there!
I also learned that my tailgate is so rusty, when I went to take it down, the part wheere the hinge bolts to onto the tub ripped right off... so right now there is something holding it up, otherwise it will just fall off. Thanks!

nice scenery! I really like that type of area, reminds me of the mountains and camping in Alberta. Which part of BC are you in?

Im in the east kootenies... a small town called cranbrook. I live 1 hour from Fernie, and 30 minutes from Kimberly... if you know where those areas are.

If you are crazy and want to buy rust free parts and pay for shipping pm me and we can talk over the phone. I usualy dont like dealing with fright, but I did just send a whole front and rear floor from a k5. I just cut it up into sections.

if you want to go that route it might be easier, or is this going to be just a beater?

If you were closer, i;d love to buy some rust free parts, but I dont have enough money right now to do that, and plus shipping would kick me in the a$$. The floors badder than I thought, when I step on it by the tailgate, I sink down around 2 inches, and around the area where the rear seat mounts, there 2 rust holes, that rusted right through. Hopefully I don't find any in the front area... eventually I plan to narrow and maybe bob the bed, so I'm not to worried about the floor, I just need to find some way to fix it for now. There is also alot of rust on the fenders and stuff, hopefully I can find bare metal when I paint it. the tail gate is useless...

I hated shipping stuff internatinal when I used to work in my companies warehouse . Too much paperwork . Working parts counter much easier , and I can surf ck5 all day /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Oh and I forgot to say in my last post, this is going to be my trail only rig, so I don't really care about the body, unless something falls off...but I need to figure out the floor, maybe I will hack the bed out of my parts f-150 /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I dont think its the same thouggh /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Well tomorrow if I can find time to work on it, I plan to take the seats out, pull the carpet out, put the seat back in (just in case I need to move it before its torn apart) . Then take of those hardcore runningboards so Scott (mrk5) isn't jealous of them. Then if I can handle a door by myself, i will take the doors off, and see if I can pull the tailgate off without the whole floor falling apart. I'lll have some more pics tomorrow, and I will use this thread for info and pics on camok5 /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
