Well I crawled underthere to find out what transfercase I have, but no luck... I did find a whole new world of rust though, and hit my head on the crossmember. Also I got a early lunch... a facefull of rust /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
It looks like this is going to be a bigger project then I thought to fix all the rust...
Here are some pics of the rust from the rear of the tub, and the tailgate rust...
The bolts that hold the tailgate hinges on are seized, so I might just cut the whole mounting place off, the other one fell off...

yea'when i decided to change my truck my rear window didn't work either.so i unbolted the top and got in and lifted the top with my back and kicked the tail gate open. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Before supper, I got the tailgate off I ended up cutting half of the hinge mount, then getting the impact out to get the seized bolts out.
Then i went onto the bumper, I didn't use the impact, to tight of space... but I broke 5 bolts with a breaker bar /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif Darn rust!
Oh, and I also looked at taking the hood and front fenders off... but will leave that to another day...
I have one problem, the bumper is hanging by 1 broken bolt that wont come out? I can't reach the other side because of the gastank in the way... how can I get it out?

Your in for a long haul on this one, i know, i still working on getting my body restified. Started in April, replaced floor, both fenders, a door, and both rear wheel arcs. Im getting closer but its been a heck of a alot of work man.

I ended up stripping one of the bolts out the bumper, it rounded out. I had enough room on it to /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif it out front the front side. Scratched up the bumper a little but i didn't really care.

You did take the liscense plate out right?? /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

You can get that out and get on it front backside. I hope this isn't new to you /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

It's a full grown cat... shes the runt though, so shes small.

My local mountain has nothing left to offer me. I stomped every jump and rocked every cliff there is. Plus I have a buddy out there that rides pro. I get twice as stoked when I ride with him. Time to take my riding to the next level /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
 
Well It wasn't raining today so I went out there and worked on it again...
I got both the seats out, the front seat belts, the carpet, the insulation, the x-case plastic cover, and some other small thing... here are some pics;

How do I go about getting that x-case thingy out? Not the shifter but the little tray thing? I tried pulling it up after I took the bolts off and couldn't get it out, just pulled up about an inch. any ideas?

As you can see in one of the pictures I found more rust!! a bunch of rust on the drivers side floor... and about 3 holes the size of a small plum...
Also as you can see, my tranny/x-case floor hump is bolted there, so I can take it off... one question, if all the bolts are out, would I just beable to pry it up? there is a bunch of sealant around the edges, but is it fastened anywhere else? I tried getting it up with a screwdriver and it wouldn't move, it just bent the humps edges a bit.

ONE more thing to say... as you can see in one of the pictures, the rear bumper is just hanging there by one bolt... THAT WONT COME OUT /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
