I like it better as a work bench than on the K5:wink1:

Thanks for the compliments. I gotta hit it with a few more coats of paint and figure out where to put my plate.

Well I finally got this done. I gusseted the angle brackets, and tapped a couple holes for license plate mounting. Still need to figure out a light, but it's mounted. It is a little crooked in these pics, but I fixed it. I'll get a straight pic tomorrow:D The reciever is not quite straight, but it'll work. Grand total was around $60 with paint and everything. I have to buy 4 more bolts. It sticks out a little more than I would like, but the reciever hits the tank mount on the inside. If I ever raise th tank I will move it in closer. Whatcha think?

One more to show how far it sticks out to the side. Not as much as it looks like. And I washed my Blazer today:D

When you first started, I thought WTH, frame rails? But damned if it don't look good. Great job, on the cheap too! :thumb:

NICE!! That is too cool. Looks great on the truck, did you mount it in the stock holes in the frame? Kevin

I used two stock holes, and added two more on each side. Thanks for the compliments. We'll see if it holds up:D

Nice :thumb: I want a bumper like that but with clevis mounts to the right and left. I might just have to find some frame rails. :)

Yeah I wish I would have thought of a clevis mount before I enclosed it. I don't know if I trust my welding yet to just weld a mount to the plate:doah: I would do some sort of bracket that runs through to the frame mounts.

I've got a pile of CUCV and 3/4 frames in the backyard.... I'm just waiting to get off my a$$ and take it all to the scrapper - if anyone wants some free frame sections, come and get 'em!

MTBLAZER, I dig the cheap bumper.... I think we're all gonna have to try this on our own:bow:
