Project Full Frontal

1975 K5 Full top
The passenger side is done, he wants to do another coat of primer on the driver side. Then the door jambs and windshield will be painted then he will prime front clip and hang it and then on to color on the whole truck. Last things will be the dash, roll bar and the inside of tailgate.

Man that things looking mint! I’m excited to see the finished product
Thanks

It’s be awhile yet. Painter is a one man show, that’s why it’s taking so long, the price can’t be beat and we ran into some hiccups but we’re down to the end now. It’s hard to tell in pics but that’s before wet sand and buff, he says he hates buffing so he tries to make it as nice as possible so it needs minimal work. I can’t wait to see a larger panel done.

Hell I wish. Body guy has both new fenders prepped, some other bits and then he got sick, then came back to work and his truck and his wife’s truck were hit by a drunk in a one ton and had to be fixed.

I don’t recommend One man operations

My buddy used a place like that many years ago. Friend of a friend that did amazing work for a decent price. Hauled his truck down from Wisconsin to Arkansas and it literally took the guy like 5 years to do sheetmetal work and paint his truck but the guy let him make payments along the way and my buddy is the kind of guy that would never ever call and bug him about it. I think his truck even got hail damage while parked outside at the guys shop that then also had to be repaired. Turned out like new though and he ended up taking another squarebody chev to him that didn't quite take as long.

I see him 2-3 times a week. I’m good friends with his nephew. I haven’t given him a dime yet, but at this point I’m too far along to just go get it. He says he’s ready to get it out of his way but obviously no hurry. Nobody else in a 100 mile radius would mess with it.

Subscribed cuz I like the wheels!

And the rest is cool too.

Not much new to share, Hood is now worked and is ready for primer, so are both fenders and he was working on the drivers door when I walked in yesterday.
