Project: "No Name" (yet)

That truck makes life so much easier. Its a shop on wheels. Too bad its not an actual shop though. Dont know what id do without it.

Got my package in today from DIY4X. The little something extra that was thrown in there for the "mix up" is bad a$$ and greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work guys and the awesome customer relations. Ill be doing the 52 swap this weekend if i can hold out that long.

Who's got a good write up on a 63(4)" rear spring swap. Would that be a good idea with a big block and quite a but of torque?

saw it on here somewhere but couldn't find it. I'll share it here and someone can point me in the right direction.

Update:

Not really much of an update, havent had much time to work on anything. I did get the axles off and frame flipped over so i can do some welding and adding my new spring hangers. Also ordered a bunch of goodies from summit, napa, and diy4x.

Ill post some more pics whenever i have some actually worth looking at that arent boring.

that bolt is just in there. not permanent. I thought you have to move the rear hanger on the frame further up.

Is it move up at all right now? When I moved mine I used the front holes as the new rear holes for the pattern of the hanger.

Are you sure you dont have 56in springs? Those dont require moving the shackle.

i got the b52 from kert and used the top 2 rivet holes from the original spring hanger and a couple of the other holes. its all the way in the front and the spring falls where the original one did.

I have 52" front springs on my 1990 Blazer, and it has stock front hangers flipped side for side. The stock front upper shackle hangers are still in the OEM position.

Not really much of an update. Haven't had time to do very much work, but I have had enough time to order parts. Once it dries up again and I can get some crushed concrete layed down, Ill be able to get down on it and hopefully finish before summertime is over.

Hey guys, it's been forever since ive posted anything. I havent done a whole lot to my baby since my lasst post. I did manage to get the frame completey boxed in, axles back on, made some new crossmembers, etc...

The next thing on the list is to put the body back on. I bought new body monuts from Diy4x. My question(since i cant find any of my old bolts to match up) is how long of a bolt do I need? When I bought it, it had a 3 inch body lift and im gonna go ahead and use it so i dont have to buy another.

Another question. I want to swap over to hydraboost. Ive read a few articles and stuff. Should I just go ahead and buy the main parts new? M/C, P/S pump, gearbox, etc... for lets say, an k20 with the 6.2? I know im gonna have to go to the junkyard for the pedal bracket, but I dont wanna buy used junk for my brakes.

Thanks guys. One of the days(hopefully really really soon) ill be done with this beast and ill be able to say i did it ALL by myself.
