Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

That's why I keep my old truck, and upgrade, modify, and repair as necessary. It's a helluva lot cheaper than buying a new(er) truck, and the repairs last much longer ;)

Wow, wow, wow I didn't mean to start anything I was just trying to get a little more out of the guy who uses his 7th post on a forum to hop to the end of a guy's thread and tell him he's doing it all wrong. Hence the popcorn smiley at the end of my post.
That being said I agree no truck is perfect, although I think we can all agree some are better than others.

oh i know:waytogo: i was just throwing in some sarcasm myself. i should have put in a smiley:D

First of all it doesnt matter how many post I have, I still know quality trucks and those fords are junk. My dad has one and has nothing but problems the truck he was building first was the **** a lil rough around the edges but a nice truck all together.

Keep you BS out of this thread, I guarantee you when Demon44 is done with this truck it will be better then anything you've ever had.

And the Superduty is a Bad ass truck its 10 times better platform then any of the crap GM has produced since 91

before you spout off about the D-max and Allison remember that they are sourced from another manufacturer, not Obama motors

I'm sure most of his problems were related to drivetrain.... which this entire thread is about swapping that out for something better so I'm not sure what your point is. Every truck has pro's/con's so all we can do is pick one and get to work fixing them to suit our needs. :D
You're right posts have nothing to do with knowledge. BUT they do tell me you don't talk around here much so for a new guy to come on here and start spouting off his opinion and putting a member down who posts pics to entertain the rest of us is annoying.
That's all I'll say in regards to this as to not clog up his thread with BS.

Why don't you go in the garage, post up a new thread and show all of us what you're working on so we can get to know you. We don't want to get off on the wrong foot. :thumb:

I m building the same truck he just got rid of too a t it was white chevy dually semi rims and a cummins motor. thats why i loved that other truck it was my trucks clone minus the 450 diffs. Im not hating on him at all i just wanted to see the other truck done so i knew what mine would look like when its done

Nice build man. I so badly want to Cummins swap my C30. Just wish it was a 4WD. Can't wait to see the finished product of this huge project you've got going on.

my white '97 3500 was DONE. and I hated it. because its not what I wanted. so I gutted it sold the chevy junk (Cab box and chassis) and will deposit the good gear into a good truck. don't flap your face at me about my truck.

Okay, you know I work on trucks. But I have to ask, whats happening with the cab over with a Cat:popcorn:I mean you're a cummins guy with spare DD-60 parts laying around and you have a truck with a yellow motor?:haha:
Like you don't have enough going on right now....

The diffs are that easy of a bolt in swap? People are going to start looking in junkyards....just thinking out loud.

I got that cabover real cheap. and it only got 900K on it. it hasn't turned a wheel for money since 2003 though. I love cabovers.

I have parts gathered for a bigtime series60 for it. for whenever. I'd like to make a nice show/exhibition sled pull rig out of it sometime with a HT755 Allison. though theres been a guy or two on the local race truck circuit with 1000hp C12s. but a 1400hp 14L 60 is still better.

'bout like this one is exactly the same as mine only few years older. though mine still an original stock truck.

although the Allisons are mighty they are not indestructible

heres a HT755 that last week came out of a western star tandem tandem chassis oil field rig.

ooooops.......

What causes that? Something flying off from the inside or the torque twisting the case? :dunno:

Mr. Allison meet Mr. Shock Load

if you trace the crack carefully, you'll see its split right in 1/2. The only thing keeping it together is the pan. :woot:

A little more Cabover love!!

Mines a 73 Peterbilt KTTA1150 with a 13-spd. gonna stretch it out to 300" wheelbase and ditch the 4-spring for an Air-leaf
