Thanks, I am not a pro painter and it looks better in the pics than in person. I will be reshooting it when the weather gets nicer. The reason being is I painted the panels separately to avoid tape lines and that was a mistake. The blue is very translucent and takes several coats to get the dark blue that you see in the pics. The problem was I didnt do the exact same sweeps on each panel, due to position, lighting ect. So though it looks good in the garage and even outside when overcast, the doors fenders and quarters are a different shade when all put together. And looking back I dont know what I was thinking. Anyway cheap gun, nason 2 stage paint, and I power wash the floor and blow out dust from the garage several times a week or so before, then the night before do it again and shut the door and keep it shut all night and in the morning wet the floor and dont open till complete the next day. I also cover my work bench with fresh cardboard to ensure no grease or dirt get into any paint materials. So far I have had best results with my old siphon feed gun this one (hvlp)left alot of orange peel that would have been buffed out.The garage paint situation looks pretty simple and the paint looks great in pictures. Would you mind sharing your setup?
Really like how you shortened the front fenders. I've been thinking about defanging mine but never really liked having the straight/sharp metal edge right there versus maintaining the factory rolled edge like you did.
