hey lunchbox, you in novato, that's right down the street from me, we should go wheeling at cow sometime!
\dude im down anytime! just tell me when your gonna go.

plan to head out possibly next weekend if I get all the little details on the truggy done. Or at least enough of the details to wheel the wee out of it :-)

what day would you be leaving? and who do you go with, ive never been to cow mountain before mountain before.

i usually wheel with some friedns and some customers of mine, most can be see nat my websites www.myspace.com/balterbuilt and www.blazerbalto.com (shameless plugs! haha). But just to give you an idea of who I wheel with. Almost everyone i build hardcore parts for me have become my friends. Makes my job that much more fun :-)

added some braces and light mounting plates. The plates are .125 aluminum.

oh and it'll be skinned in 18 guage aluminum (cause it's laying around in large quantities around here...hahaha) between the straight bars. I've thouht about cutting out the stock fenders and tabing them in there as well so you can kinda see the chevy-ness.

Where did you get the fuel cell? I am about to convert my 86 to EFI and i may need to buy a fuel cell with a eletric fuel pump. I have a in line fuel pump that was put in when the previous owner put in a 454 and he said it can go up to 14PSI so I will see if it will work before I buy a new one. i would like to find something a little quieter though.

i got mine through summitracing. It is a 22 gallon rci tank that cost around 120 bucks. The fittings will probably cost more then the tank. i don't have an electric fuel pump so i don't have a recomendation. The only thingi don't like about my tank is that is warped a little in the sun and is not a true box anymore....

made a little more progress on the rear, it's almost done so hopefully i will get time to work on it next weekend. Started the x-bracing for the rear main hoop, just needs one more bar to finsih the x but got tired from the long weekend and ran out of welding gas to boot. Once the x-brace is done there will only be 4 more bars to finsih off the rear. Total weight of tube is 325 lbs.

not as much as you can imagine. If i sell my front and rear axle, toyo tires and my four link arms i should be up about 700 dollars on the whole deal :-) s oyou can imagine how cheap I got them for. Oh and the rear was a military rebuild that's never been used because it wasn't sealed in it's crate air tighti na nitrogen filled bag...oh darn...hahahaha

What are your plans for pinion conversions and brake conversions? What about box reinforcement?

just going to use the exact pinion conversion. as for the brakes i don't know what i'm going to do if i even do anything. I have heard about the portals breaking off so some sort of gusseting might go down, i heard there are some brackets you can just buy that are cheap also. DId you ever get your mogs on teh crew cab? If i remeber correctly you had planned on a set.
