Propane powered DD *Spark Plug, and mounting questions*

Depending on what you are building would depend on the tanks. I would go with some readily available forklift tanks think they are 15-20 gallons and removable, which saves you road tax. Which is like 12 cent more a gallon or so.

Build a bracket to hold one, to run and one to use as a spare. This way you can run one and then have a spare.

My 100 gallon lays on its side in the bed I would go alot smaller in something that you drive you don't get a volume discount when you buy so there is no benefit in that. You just need a size that will work for yo,u how far you travel, where you can fill, etc.

2 40lber fork lift tanks (10 gal. each) would work, and maybe one extra to keep at home. Just figured the 100lber would be a little easier, just have to make sure I have a way to bring it in for filling.

Still looking for a spark plug recommendation...any thoughts? :wink1:

Also, one question about the forklift tanks. I know what I want, etc, but just looking at one last detail. Mounting them. The instructions with the kit say they're designed to be mounted horizontally or vertically, is this true? Just curious, because I know there's a locator pin so the liquid tube sits at the bottom of the tank, but how would that be effective if mounted vertically? TIA!

You can mount them either way the pickup is in the bottom so it would pick it up either way. Spark plugs you can just run what the factory calls for, or a hotter plug.

Any of you guys running the big tanks wish you went smaller, like fork lift tank small?

I still can't choose between running multiple (2 on the truck, 1 spare to leave at home, or carry on truck too) or just get a 30-40 gallon motor fuel tank....
