I have heard three different things.

1- same length as drag link
2- mounted at the same angle as drag link
3- mounted as flat as possible

I have one on my Cherokee that I built and it cycled funny but was short.

I'm getting ready to fab up the front of the buggy and want to do it right the 1st time. whats the best way to do it??

Ideally it would be the same length as the drag link and parallel to it as viewed from both the front and the top.

Real world is that's not likely. So the next best thing is that the travel arc of the axle end of the draglink be pretty close to co-radial to the travel arc of the axle end of the panhard/trac-bar.

Bump steer crops up when the two arcs differ by enough. Ideally the two links would be slightly downhill to the axle when at ride height. Assuming the travel arc's are close this will result in the least horizontal change of position for a given suspension compression or droop.

Clear as mud?
