Who has a PSC ram? I received mine today and was surprised to see that it only has a .625" diameter shaft when it is clearly listed on their website as having a .75" diameter shaft and i also asked about it and they verified the .75" diameter over the phone. Can anyone who has the 1.5" bore cylinder please measure the shaft diameter for me.

I am thinking about getting the same thing, so I also want to know.

Someone e-mail my wife and tell her to give me the $$

This is the exact item i ordered and you can see where it says .75" rod.

As you know already, mine measured out to .625 as well. I bought from the exact add that is posted, becuase I had a direct link in my favorites .. so I just used that when I went to make my purchase. I "thought" I was buying a 1.5 ram, w/ a 3/4 rod as it stated.

Guess it's time to play some phone tag and see what they will do.

They did the same thing to me when I ordered the Hyd assist line kits. Ordered 2 kits with 90deg fittings and 8' of 3/8" weatherhead hose, of course I recieved the kits....but with only 6 feet of hose........

The resolution I was offered was that they would send me an additional 10' of hose. That way I could make the kits work without having to splice the hoses.

Oh, and they only wanted $44:angry1:, to fix a mistake that I had no control over....IE, not my fault.

I hope your deal turns out better.

Well, i know my deal will work out better, i paid with a cc so i will just tell them if it isn't made right i will have a ram and stop payment until i am satisfied.

No thanks, not with -4 fittings, those are too small. Also the guy didn't know his a** from a hole in the ground when i called him on the phone.

CC for me too.

Should have went with Rocklogic like I told yall:p:

Nah .. I still think I'd rather have this ram. Even if your RL has a full 3/4 rod, the end is still threaded into that, so it's smaller. I think I'll take my chances with the end threading over the rod. The material around that can be almost limitless in thickness (even if it means getting custom ends), where the inside is confined to the diameter of the rod. Besides, didn't you buy the full assist kit, only to turn around and buy new ends, hoses & fittings afterwards? :p:

For my needs the .625 would probably never be an issue. But, the add says 3/4", and I also don't want to bend a rod (.625) and then feel like an idiot for not sending it back for the larger one. :doah: Besides, for all I know they may say it's not a problem and exchange it without any hassle. Won't know until I call.

Ok, i just got off the phone with Kelvin from PSC motorsports and he said that the 1.5" x 8" ram only has a .625" diameter shaft and that if you were to have a .75" shaft it would move too slowly in one direction. I told him that their website list the 1.5" ram as having a .75" diameter shaft and he told me that is incorrect and that he'll have to correct it. :mad:

I am going to keep this ram and hope that i don't bend the shaft as so many other people have done. I'm sure that for my application i'll be fine considering i don't go climbing around on rocks or use heavy skinny pedal use to overcome an obstacle. It will also help that i now have the 1.5" diameter tie rod.

I can say though that the PSC ram is one nice looking quality built ram. I do know where they are getting them from now since mine was shipped in the box that they got from their vendor. :thumb:

Isn't he the one who measured it on the phone, for you, and told you it was a .75? Did you bring up that point to him, and what did he say about it?

Like I said, more than likely, I'll never have an issue with the .625. I'm not going to run a comp buggy w/ 49's or even 44's. I would imagine it will hold up plenty good for my needs. I could send it back and get something else, but I like every other aspect of the ram fine, so I'll probably just make do with it.

Yeah, i told him he was the one who verified the .75" shaft diameter and he denied it and said he would also have to check the website since it must be wrong if it says .75 shaft diameter.

I like everything else about the ram as well so i'm keeping mine also. Like you said, not going to be extreme like some of the guys around here are so i should be fine.

PS: i just went and took a look at PSC's website again to see if they corrected the mis-information that was there and here is what it says now.

So they Lied.......to you
tried to half ass cover thier mistake......again to you
And are going to do nothing about it.

That is real crappy to hear, since I really want that ram. And they kinda did the same thing to me, those two things combined make me want to look elsewhere. but where?

WTO = leaks
AGR = crap
RL = -4 JIC

who else is there?
