Pulling Motor, New one in! New flex pics on last pg.

What brand of headers did you use? I've been looking for some shortys for when I need to replace my cracked manifolds.

The headeers I got are Edlebrock part # EDL-65273. I paid $342.90 delivered from Summit. They fit perfect. The coating cures after a few heat cycles. They are pretty nice. I would buy another set if I had another K5. Good luck!
 
those are the same headers I have, currently in the garage though :(
has all the smog stuff and O2 sensor fitting.
 
Yep. Same ones! Its at the muffler shop now. I had it towed to a muffler shop that was going to do mandral bends. But he said my cat is illiegal and wouldn't work on it unless I bought another cat. ****, I just passed smog last month. So, I called AAA again to have another shop do the work. Little hole in the wall shop. He said he would make it perfect, tucked up tight. Not to tight. It was pretty funny seeing the tow truck guy taking a bunch of pics with the burb on his tow truck!
 
Well, got the exhaust done. Bought a new AC Delco battery, 800CCA. Took it out in the DIRT today!! Fist time its touched diirt in 12 yrs. I wanted to test out the travel on the shocks. I need longer mounts. Had to get inside the house since it a 100 degrees. Lots of body movement. Had to get out the back right door. Front door was six feet off the ground. Pics in the morning!! Got my CK5 stickers on!!;)
 
Thanks Tom. I got my gears today from someone here. They were chipped in transit. Poor packaging job. Don't know if I can use them now. That sucks. When do you want to go tear some chit up? I thought I would have more power though. I need gears bad.
 
Here are a couple flex pics. Not much flex though. Need to find something bigger to climb on. It was way to hot to be out there!!!I have TONS of work to do to this thing!!!!

8" Springs in front. 2" Body, Rear is 6" blocks 2" add a leaf. Getting ready for a shackle flip in rear. And also I need to lower it 2" somehow. I dont want to take out the Body lift. What a pain in the arse!!! I wonder if I could take out a spring in the front?
 
body lift may be a bitch. But I see it as the best solution. It will be getting rid of a weak link as I see it.

Just got off the phone with the guy I got my dana 60 from. He is sellin me a Detroit locker and the master install kit for $200.00. Both are brand new and still in the box. Its not a full case Detroit though.

Is there a big difference in the full case Detroit and the Detroit that takes the place of the spider gears? I don't know what's it called. Thanks.

If they are for the dana 60 then a non full carrier detroit is a detroit EZ locker. Its the same thing as any lunch box locker like a lockrite, aussie, etc.
 
Sorry, its for the rear 14 bolt. Should I get it, or get a full case detroit for the 14 bolt. Thanks.

14 bolt ff detroit takes the place of the spider gears.if it is a ff.semi float is as stated,ez locker takes palce of inside gears.full detrout replaces the case as well.
