Is there any companies that make a push bar that bolts to the frame for a 78 K5.

it bolts to the bumper and a peice goes under the bumper and bolts to the front frame horns

They do exist... I have one on my '74 and had one on my '77. Bolts to the frame, loops around the bumper and bolts into the four center bumper bolts.

I would think Craigslist would be the best place to score one, inasmuch as mine came from there, or the for-sale forums here. Heck, mine'll be posted there in a month or three when I do my custom bumpers...

They do exist I got one on my 1979 Blazer. I got it at pick n pull for $14.00. It is not the cheap one either, it is a heavy S.O.B.

for anyone who has one of the pushbars i am talking about, do you have to worry about the thing,if you hit something (hondas, jeeps, trees, ect.) about it messing up the front of the truck.

IIRC, he was hoisting part of his Anderson shelter or whatever Americans call those big round buildings.
