putting a head unit on the ceiling between visors on 86 k10

Well actually since I didn't want to drill a bunch of holes I just ran the wires over the visors. Then for the rear speakers I tucked the wires under the door seals, up and over the doors and came out the floor and to the 6x9's. I grounded the h/u on one of the screw that holds the bracket to the ceiling. I just ran one hot to the h/u and use a small toggle switch to turn it of and on.

Im still waiting on the front 6.5's to come in, and ill cut holes in the doors and put them there.
My doors don't have any lower door panels so no prob there.

Ive got a no name 10" sub and amp I think im going to put in so I can have a little more bottom end.

Well to anyone who comes across this thread. I can make these for 30 plus shipping. I can make the piece that bolts to the ceiling adjustable, so it will fit different angles. Pm me if interested.

All in all im pretty happy with it. The only thing I don't like is that my h/u display isn't very bright so in the bright daylight its hard to read. I checked to make sure the dimmer was off.

Do these trucks have an in the dash antenna? I could find any holes in the body were the antenna would go. I just bought a cheap one and stuck it in a hole in my dash for now.

I'm interested, but the angle and placement for the mounting/Bolting location would have to be different for mine. As you can see from my pic I don't have that little lip you bolted to...

Cool. Just need a head unit. LOL! I haven't bought a system for this rig yet. I'll keep you posted tho. Getting close. I've always wanted the overhead deal
