Alright well i have a 14bolt im gonna re-gear sometime when the money comes around and if i can hopefully find a dana 60, same with that. My dad says i dont need to go to a specialist to put gears in cuz all they do is bolt right in. He says he used to do gear swaps a ton when he was younger on his muscle cars. I have no doubt he did, but is there any difference in say a 63 gm rear end than a newer 80ish rear end? I am just a lil weary because of what people say on here when putting gears in. He's a pretty damn good mech. too, rebuilt a few auto trannies before, countless engine builds, so he knows his stuff. Im just concerened with if the older stuff is any different and having my rear blow up after hes done w/ it.
