My current '74 qjet handles uphills fine after some tuning but does not want to run when its angled to the side. I also have another qjet thats remanufactured by holley and 49 state smog legal (my current carb is 50 state) will this be a better carb? I know there was a mod on here somewhere where the guy took a metal tube with holes in it and connected it to somewhere on the front and the back like I beleive the demon carb has, anyone have this link? And does that only help in uphill angles or side to side? I've read a bunch of threads about mounting the carb backwards but I assume that only helps in uphills. And also i see people adjusting float levels, some say lower some say higher, which is it? Any ideas/mods/etc thatll help?

Basically I want it run like this:

It did run like that for a little bit but then it wouldnt start

Yea throttle body injection is where its at ive had my truck close to the angle in the picture and didnt stall, also helps to have a full tank.

For wheelin I really love the simplicity of an old qjet, if something goes wrong i can fix it with a screwdriver. My friend has an 87 with tbi and has had nothing but problems with some electrical computer controlled this messing up something. And I;ve seen people get a lot out of a basic carb, I've seen trucks run completely on their sides with a carb.
