Hello all,
I was wondering if I can get some tips on springs. Right now my k5 rides like a tank and I would like it to be softer.

Now I have rancho springs but not sure of the rate but im assuming is the 530 pound springs . Curretly I was looking at replacing them with the stuff country ez ride hd springs but they don't seem to be much softer at 490 pounds. Was wondering if anyone had any experiance or other opinions/options for a softer spring

How about we back up a sec, and gather some info

What year?
already lifted?
What shocks and tire sizes/brand are you running

All of these will effect the ride

1979 k5 blazer
4in lift via rancho springs and 4in ord shackle flip
Bilstien 5100 shocks
Tires are big o brand 315/75r16

How much steel and how much winch is going to dictate that. You want soft springs but want them to hold up a bunch of stuff.

It's a warn vr10-6. Looks like it weights 60 pounds. So with the front bumper probably around 210 pounds?

It’s not a matter how big your wench is, but how you use her. It’d be ideal if you can teach your wench how to use your winch so you don’t have to get all muddy.
:haha::haha::haha::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Last mud bog I went to years ago, I had an exceptionally cute gal with me in the passenger seat. I made it about halfway through the pit, and she was ready to jump out to hook up the recovery strap.

I still kick myself for not marrying that one...

I can't remember the number but I run ProComp 4" front springs and I have a big ole 75 lb steel I-beam bumper and it rides nice. I run 315s with a slight trim to my fenders and usually depending how much and how far I drive I run 25 psi and it rides way nicer.

I looked at the pro comp springs and there about the same spring rate as the rancos.

Anyone else have anu recommendations?

I might try and lower the tire pressure as well
