I still have org. 10bolt in the back and dont plan to change it any time soon. Ive got Yukon chromoly axles and loc rite locker in there now.

my question is this. Ive got a HD rear bumper and tire carrier now, Im wanting to get an enduro motorcycle and get one of those racks that go in the reciever hitch and haul the bike. I dont want to deal with a utility trailer. Will the extra weight of about 250lbs -/+ be too much for my K5. I know it doesnt seem like alot of weight, but it is weight that will be hanging out the farther from the truck (think physics here, the further something hangs out the more gravitational pull it has, so 250lbs hanging 3feet out could equal 500lbs of downforce, follow me? )

anyways. just wondering b4 I take any other steps of looking for a bike

the 10 bolt will be fine.

The weight sticking out from the back of the truck won't load the truck any more, in this case leverage doesn't really make any difference.

Your diff won't have any trouble with that load.

Yeah, the leverage only affects torsional force (think rotation) and not weight. And 250# is nuthin... figure that's the tongue weight of a 2500# trailer and your K5 should be rated for 4000-5000# anyway, i.e. 400-500# tongue weight.

Do watch your hitch angle though ... if the rack tube doesn't fit tightly into your hitch, it'll kinda droop on the far back and may drag on inclines like my driveway. AMHIK :haha:
