I am looking to buy front bucket seats for my 1970 K5 and a guy near me has a set of reasonably priced 1973/74 K5 low back buckets for sale and I am just wondering before purchasing how much different the mechanisms are and if they folded forward all the way as the 70 k5 seats did. Are there any mounting issues if I use the original seat tracks for a '70 K5? I have the original tracks but no seats came with the Blazer. I would like to try and use the original mounting holes and seat brackets if possible. Thanks.

I'm in a similar boat with my 70 jimmy. It came with van seats and no brackets for original seats.
Would be curious to know what might bolt up in stock position and folding capability etc

got a picture? They were a little different but I can’t remember how much so. Definitely keep your brackets if they are original. I don’t think the brackets are the same.

Brackets and mounting holes are different. Only the passenger side seat folds forward on the 73/74. You could probably do some fab to make the tracks from the first gen fit the 2nd gen seats.
The 74 seat just flips forward until the back of the seat hits the dash.
