Transmission flush, or just a filter/fluid change?

Looked at it yourself?

Pull the dipstick. If it's black and nasty don't do anything. Just a darker red? Pan, filter, and fluid change.

I would change the filter and flush the trans to remove 100 percent of the contaminants from the transmission.

Well, depends how worn it is. If there's built up sludge then sometimes that sludge is what is holding the trans together. Clean it out and suddenly things go pear shaped.

not a good idea.
Atf still breaks down and has particles even if we cant see it or smell it.

Just change the fluid and filter, its better than doing nothing
