Re: Question for those with 4\" lift and crossover steering.
Okay, yes my brakes are iffy (read need to do them) that is probably a lot of my problem. Also a D60 is more prone to DW due to the roll axis of the king pin design (the tires flop over about 8° on a 60) I think with new turned rotors and pads along with a stabilizer I would be fine. As for drivability, it is awsome! The truck is more responsive, predictable, and manuverable. Both street and trail. You will need to lose the sway bar though (probably won't notice a difference anyway). I am beyond happy with x-over.
As for weld in -vs- bolt in bracing, I run the welded on an uncracked frame. Mine fit like a glove (I tested it for high/low spots with paint). I got it from 4 wheelers supply in phoenix as well. I have put in a fly-n-hi one also (local 4x4 shop in town) and it was fine too. The fly-n-hi one was put on after spending an hour trying to get the friggin ORD one to "sorta" fit (it was still off even by CEE standards). This was about 3 years ago for the ORD issue so I hope they changed the stamp by now.
If there is going to be an argument over them at least fight for both to be used together.
