As I'm planning the build of my 79 Sierra Grande, I find myself again pondering the question of "how long do I want it to be?" I began with the idea of 52" swap in the front for an additional 2" forward then moving the rear up from its 8ft bed length to a short wheelbase length or 112-117". Now I'm thinking about leaving it at the long bed wheelbase length and just bobbing the bed behind the shackle hangers. So, I need some help from the CK5 knowledgable to guide me through this. I've never wheeled a fullsize and am used to the 101.4" of wheelbase my XJ has.
