Questions about painting the inside and outside of the burb!!!?!

I want to paint the burb, I plan on sand blasting it then priming it with a rust inhibitor and then painting it dark grey with an orange stripe...

What tools do you recomend?

Any hints or tips?

And lastly, what do you think about a charcoal burb with an orange stripe??

I'm not positive but if you try to sandblast the body panels you will warp them. You might have to use a paint stripper.

Bedline the inside. I line Xd mine (check out the INTERIOR FORUMS on here), it turned out really nice.

The gray would look good. not sure about that yellow/gold line though. Im thinking NOT. lol. But your truck.......

yup, creates heat... it will warp hoods, roofs, etc if you dont know what your doing... door jams, peaks, etc you wont hurt...

one of the methods we used to use in the resto shop was to chemically strip the large flats, panels, etc with a chemical stripper, then pull it out and blast the jams, edges, floor, etc. bring it in, put a clean grit cut to the whole car with a DA, then coat...

also, be aware any metallic paint wlll generally be best sprayed in base/clear, increasing costs... and are best left to the pros. solid colors, such as a grey or chevy orange, single stage finishs can be more economical and are more amateur friendly......

oh my god!! I just got to see the color scheme you like. No Way! The gray is too light and the wrap around stripe just doesn't do it. What other options are there?

soda blasting works too or you could use a chemical stripper and a DA as ryoken said. X2 for the bed lined interior
