so i got a killer deal on two working sm465 transmissions and a 205 already twin sticked for 300 bucks. my project blazer will have mobility soon. ive got a couple questions regarding putting it behind my 6.2 diesel

1. what flywheel is the correct one
2. what do i need for the mechanical clutch linkage
3 where can i find a "collar" i think its called the adapter sleeve that mates the male output shaft of the trans to the male input shaft of the 205 mine is missing that part

Definitely get a new 10 spline drive sleeve, the used ones are always worn. We have those too, give us a call.

If you didn't have a manual behind your diesel, you will need a diesel specific flywheel, it's not the one in the links that were provided to you.
As for the rest looks like you are covered.:waytogo:

so i just need to go to the auto parts store and ask for a diesel flywheel? im assuming the flywheels are all the same no matter what manual trans is behind it and they'll be able to figure it out?

Yeah the flywheel is engine specific, ask for a 6.2/6.5 flywheel.
I can't remember which one is better but one is a dual mass and it's not good.

im lost on how to get this thing working. my newest thing to find out is how to rig the clutch linkage. can i use a pedal and linkage from a 2wd in the junkyard on my sm465 its mechanical. or what do you do to switch it to hydraulic

The easiest is to put a setup from a mechanical, it's plentyfull and cheap.
And yeah the setup from a 2wd would work.
You need a bracket that is on the frame, you will need what they call a Z bar and you need the bellhousing with fork, and the pedal assembly.
I have everything here but don't want to sell, but if you can't figure it out, I can take a pic of everything for you.
I am gone for a few days but mid next week I will be home and can do that if you are missing anything but if you have a truck in a junk yard with the setup, just take everything and look at how it is.
Hydraulic will be much harder if your truck wasn't setup with it as there is a spot you need a tenplate and you need to drill some holes where the master cylinder goes. Then you need to find the parts which now are becoming more rare.

ive got the z bar i think. mark one of the ck5 members found me through craigslist and hes got all the pedal stuff and linkages so hopefully i can get those from him in the next few days. does the frame have the holes for the frame bracket already drilled if the truck was originally an automatic?

I don't know but you can drill those I believe it's two holes.

im slowly figuring out the mess ive gotten myself into with this swap. its startign to clear up on what parts i need to get it done. im closer to getting it. just gotta figure out what the tooth count is on the flywheel and what clutch size to use
