Quick AN fitting ???

Having never used AN anything before, to hook up a fitting do I need to Teflon tape it or any thing else to make sure I get no leaks?
Going from the fitting on my fuel cell to a normal hose Barb

If it has one, yes on the pipe thread side. For the nut+flare+fitting side, no.

Most non flare AN fittings use an o-ring

That's the fitting I got. Don't know what a flare vs o ring

no teflon.. NPI is generally the only place you'll use a thread sealant on a fitting...

That fitting WILL NOT use any sealant of any kind. The end that attaches to the fuel cell is the AN 37* flare and it seals on the flare NOT the threads.
