quick crossover Q

I was reading the technical writeups on ck5, and for the cross over he mentioned needing a cross member to be built or installed... is this important or a neccesity?

yep, either that or a bent draglink. Drag link will hit the stock crossmember otherwise(no good for steering). ORD sells a bent drag link.
