If I wanted to swap in a D60 in place of my 10 bolt front, is it just a bolt in swap? Or do I need to do some major work?

The perches will be the same width, but you will need new U-bolts and spring plates. You may have issues with driveshaft length and U-joint size depending on your current setup and need new rims unless your 10 bolt is an 8 lug.
dpending on what year axle you have now the brake lines may have different ends where they bolt to the calipers.
