So I'm converting the factory drums on my 63 98 to discs and had a question about prop valves. I know its not a truck, but i figure this applies to anything. So, anyways, the valve works by delaying the discs from grabbing before the drums, correct? So if I go 4 wheel disc do I still need one, or can I still use the factory dist block? I'm replacing all of the lines, master cyl, etc and cost isn't an issue (for once haha). Just don't wanna spend extra cash if I don't need to, or be short a part I need and have to wait days for to come in the mail.
Thanks!
Jay

I didn't have to change mine. A lot of people use a adjustable prop valve to get it to lock up front first like factory. I gutted my prop valve so both sides get equal pressure. I haven't had a problem with my stock 72 master or booster having enough pressure either.
