So does any one's t-case shifter light up? Like a running light that come on with the headlights. Its on the floor right next to shifter that should light up the shifter pattern. I think its just 208 or 241 that might have that...

Yes, IIRC mine does or did. There is a light inside the plastic housing as you've said. I have an 89 with the 241 T-case.

sweet thanks :waytogo:

I've been trying to figure it out since i found a nice hole for a light bulb to fit into on the underside of the plastic boot thingy.

Where can I find a light socket like the one that fits in there?

Easiest place..

Junkyard--in another truck like yours!..:D

Or perhaps you can swipe one from an aftermarket gauge--I assume your looking for a socket for a bulb like an 1816 ,that has prongs all around the outer edge that clip into a hole (looks like a flower!)..A good parts store might have them, like NAPA,too..(I have some in my junkpile stashed away)..but the junkyard is the place to get the right one--nothing will fit better than a factory one designed to go there..

If you find one pull it and pm me. I do plan on going back to my local yard on tuesday next week, but most of the trucks are pretty well stripped. So we'll see...

My 83 with a 208 does, didnt know it till i pulled up the carpet and found the wires
