Raced my friends today *video* *another video added*

ok, dont :) i can take them till like 40, thats about it, they slowed down because it was a 2 lane road. But it was legit. 520lbs of tq and 5.13's move pretty well
oh and 2003 eclipse GT and 1999/2000(not sure) Mustang v-6
i'm going to a movie now, be back later tonight

Why not? Both those cars are turds. One's a V6 Mustang and the other is some lame Mitsu burner.

I'd be suprised if a low geared built Caddy 500 LOST to those turds on wheels.
 
my brother and i both watched this video several times, and both of notice what seems to be a slower take off by the cars on the second run.

that is all, even though they are have smaller engines, they are a lot lighter than the truck.

no matter the gearing, or "torque" claimed, thats alot of truck and tire weight to get movin to launch quicker than those lightweight cars.

BTW, i'm not saying you have a POS truck, i'm just saying i believe it looked alittle "setup"

I personally have never been a big fan of "go fast" trucks, had friends that wanted to make their truck with big power, and i just say, why? it's not a Corvette, it's a truck, it's meant to work, crawl and climb if necessary.

that kind of setup for fast launches and racing belongs on the track anyways, for "racecars";)

again, just my personal preference, to each his own.:D
 
hes not building a mall crawler ment for speed, hes going to wheel it, hes just having fun and showin us what his truck can do. jealous?

Try telling that to Troy Herbst or Robby Gordon. Not ever one likes to go slow and play on rocks. Some people like to tear up the sand or dezert at high speeds. I built my truck with a BB 468 500hp and 565 ft lbs torque so I can go fast all day long....

Anyways everone is entitled to their opinion but for some its fun going Fast...

News flash it, aint claimed torque his ****s been on a chassis dyno:rolleyes:.

And last time I checked 5.13 or higher and monster torque is what everyone wants in the rocks.

You'd hate the diesel truck world then... average, trailer pulling working trucks all week and muscle car and import killing 12-14 second black smoke belching whistling 7K 4x4 pickups on the weekends.:D

not everyone likes stock HP/TQ. i dont see why hes a "racer" just cuz hes got a lot of power....you need power to get up rocks or through mud...
