racing seats

Are you talking about the seat tracks, they are just the slider tracks PRP sells for their seats. The actual metal the tracks bolt to is just a piece of small square tube(maybe 1") with a round tab welded to it that allows the seat track bolts to go through.
I can get you a close up pic. if that would be easier than picturing it in your head. I found one other pic. that might show you what you're looking for, let me know if you want some more.

Actually, that new pic helps a lot.. So, the tracks are just welded onto the cage?

The tracks bolt to the seat and have studs that extend down through the tabs, they're just those little fabricators tabs that a lot of people sell for like shocks and stuff. Here's some pics from PRP's site and a link

Looks good. Man, if I only had the equipment, money, and skills to make a nice rollcage...

The only thing I had was the money(tax refund 2 yrs. ago). I don't have the equipment and definitely not the skills(yet)
I try and use whatever I get back on my taxes to make a major purchase on my k5 every year and with the full convertible a rollcage was pretty high on the priority list. I did sand the whole cage by hand and etch primed it myself before my buddy painted it for me. You can see it better in the second pic. but while the truck was apart we also painted all the dash metal,a-pillars & windshield header to match the cage color then spray lined the whole interior tub with Reflex truck bed liner.

PRP seats and RCI harnesses, cage mounted. I also used PRP sliders and bolted them to flat stock like 1/4 by 1 1/2 wide that was welded to 1 by 2 rectangular that was welded to the cage. Tabs were used for harness attachment points.

Rear seat I used tube rings from DIY4X that were put on the tube when cage was made and welded at the proper location later.
