Raggedy_Ann Build Process

Build process of my K% known as Raggedy Ann
Many of you guys know of my K5 as Raggedy Ann, and I never post of much about anything. I plan on changing that with my next large project. I will be putting in ORD rear links and coils. I will share the process as well as my ideas and thoughts. Here is an old photo of my truck when I first purchased it back in 2007

Update on the frame repair/ front half swap- it’s been 7 years and no problems with the repairs. Anybody that’s wheeled with Nate knows he doesn’t take it easy on that truck.

Ok here is my 2nd post for the year, I'm out after this

Wade, I already have rear shocks and hydraulic pump stops. I am on the hunt for.. large trans cooler, 20 gal fuel cell, pack out stuff.

Thanks for sharing the link about prep build process for the TV show and repairs that were done after. Crazy to think it's been that long ago!

We have been watching Truck Night occasionally over the last several months. Last night we skipped to your show, nice job!

I know its way late, but so sorry to hear about your Mother, my condolences.

Today I spent some time pushing out the quarters and taking the wrinkle out of the sheet metal. Thanks to a foot ball shoving it in between the panels and inflating, I was able to get most of the panel straightened ish. Then getting the wrinkle out took some thinking and hammering pulling.

Parked in the garage to begin the tear down to make way for the rear coils going in!

Here is a cool upgrade/ better way to update the front dana 60 spindle nut. As you know you have to run down the main nut, torque then loosen and re torque it. Then you have to line up the washer with a billion holes in it and line the washer up on the key way. After fiddle fucing with it and your back is hurting and you can't see donkey crap, then it might line up. Then finally crank the lock nut down. Chuck all that nonsense in the trash and get your self a set of 14 bolt spindle nuts. Took me half the time to set up my front hubs and my back didn't hurt. You do the same method with the main nut. Torque it down, back is off then set the torque and just line up the large cut outs for the square key to go in and then put the little spring clip over and done. Way better!
