random SAS question.

Dodge put coils under the Cummins. That could be a source for parts if one needed to use one tons.

The dodge AAM 9.25 works great under the front of a DMAX. Personally I would step right up to coil overs though.

I did radius arms and coil springs, worked out perfect. I have 8 inches of lift. With a 60 up front I'd be limited to 5 inches if I made it lower. I cut all those cross members out and the kit has a cross member that goes in under the engine. Also welded a piece of 2x3 tube between the rails. The Deaver bronco coil springs work great too, mines an HD with a 6.0 so it has a little more weight than a 1500 5.3 truck. I also towed my 83 600 miles last year and with rear air bags it did better than I thought. Depending on the tire size you go, I would regear and get a pcm tune to wake it up. When I regeared mine I used an rpm calculator so the rpms now are just like they were stock.

I second this! A Cheap set of radflos or FOAs will have more tune-ability and be easier and possibly cheaper to fab in place bracket wise than packaging shocks and coils.
