Ok I have been without my Blazer for about 2 months now. First it sat out side of the shop for about a month then he moved it inside of the shop for the rest of the other month and worked on it here and there. So I went in there last week and here where the things that where wrong with it.

*Negative cable running to the alt. bracket NOT the frame....(EVERY chevy/gm I have seen runs it to the alt bracket.)

*Tranni lines not run right (Not secured to the frame). But he is the one that did the tranni lines when he put the new tranni in.

*Rubber fuel lines being used back by the rear tires on the frame (He said it should be metal lines from sending unit to fuel pump rubber lines). Every chevy I have seen has the rubber lines installed there.

*I was accused of bolting the clutch fan on. I Know for a fact I used studs and nuts.

*Coolant hoses running to the heater core are ran wrong. (I'll get pics of them)

* Bottom coolant main line bent wrong....(I almost laughed it's STOCK.)

* Wiring is a mess (I have to agree with him on this one. Was planning on getting to it this spring.)

Then there where two things that I did do wrong.
He is going to give me a list when I get the truck back. I will scan it and post it.

This will be the last time he sees me in his shop. I would of pulled my truck out of the shop but hey that means all of this time was waisted for nothing. I just want a sticker.

STUPID MECHANICS -------No offense to the mechanics in this forum.
If you go to my site you will see why he is being this way:

I figure I did about $7,000 dollars of work to the truck last year. He has seen none of it.
ohhh yeah the $7,000 is give or take what it would of cost to have him to the work. I really have under 2,000 into it. NOT INCLUDING NEW TOOLS.

Rant off
Thanks
Adam

This is the reason why I do all the work to my truck. there are not alot of trustworthy people out there. I dont think anyone would do a better job on working on your truck other than yourself.

Trust me I know The only reason why he did the tranni before is because I would of been out in the snow doing it. I have a garage now. :)

Thats no excuse, I was putting the lift, axels in the truck and guess where i was, freezing my a$$ off outside in the cold. for some reason i loved every minute of it. well you gotta do what you gotta do.

Trust me I learned my lesson. I'd change that tranni or anything elts out on a active volcano rather then taking it to somebody.
Thanks
Adam

---------------------UPDATE----------------
I just checked my voice mails he said it's all done and I will be picking it up tomorrow. I will post some pics of the stuff he was talking about.
Thanks
Adam

I took mine to a local shop to tune my carb and adjust my choke. I went 4 days later to pick it up with a $900 bill. He zip tied my wiring up neat, changed my headlights, and all kinds of garbage I didn't ask him to do. And the carb still hesitates like crazy.

Oh, and they never gave me back my lug nut key, so now I can't get my wheels off.

One of the guy that works at my job has a military Blazer cucv. He brought it to a trans shop to check out the trans bec it was acting up, so they called him and said he needed a new trans. He gave them the go ahead to swap it out. he gets a call a couple of days later, and the mech said there is something wrong with the motor, I think its Blown. To make a long story short he never swaped thetrans and,put gas in the deisel motor to blow it up on purpose thinking that the owner would just junk the truck, and he would sell it. this was an aamco shop.

Well I got the truck back it's running better. I don't have pics or video yet. I was bust shaveling 2 ton of snow to park my buddys NEW '83 or '84 gm truck. 36" tires with 6" of lift. I will post pics of it.
