this is prolly a really dumb question but would it benefit greatly from sand blasting the truck before applying the paint?

and if you take the stock bumpers and sand blast them will it remove the chrome coverings?

I wouldn't bother. It it were going to get a fresh high quality paint job then yes I would strip it if it wasn't the factory paint. But if it's just getting a rattle can camo job then leave the paint there but scuff it up a bit for better adhesion. You would probably have more problems with rust if you strip it and coat it with just a rattle can finish.

Depends on how crazy you get with the sandblaster but it probably wouldn't remove the chrome. It's pretty hard stuff. It doesn't really matter if you're going to paint them anyways though.

yeah,

wash the truck really good with some dishwash soap (not carwash soap)
then hit with some 200 grit sandpaper
wash it again
dry it
paint it

It has stuck to mine pretty well since i put it on about 4-5 months ago. It does come of when i hit trees and rocks though
