Just curious as to who is into building RC crawlers and scale rigs. I am in the process of doing a 2.2 scale build of my K5. I will be running a Xtrail chassis with assorted AX10 parts. I have a Holmes Hobbies 7t Puller motor for it which will make it go fast with tons of torque. This is what most of the parts came from and I will update once I start building.

I'm not new to rc crawling either. This was my Super Class rig 2 years ago that I won the spring championship with.

All I have is a modified Revo i get out every now and then, ton of fun but i have a small fortune in that thing.

After being out of RC for awhile. I just picked up a Traxxas Slash. It was wierd messing with electric. All my other RCs have been nitro. I had a Tmaxx nitro and a HPI on road car. Car was clocked by cop radar at 72mph w/ 2speed tranny gear to the hilt. This was back when 1hp motors were just starting to come out for 1:20 scale cars. I know theyve got 3.2s and 2.2s now. The Tmaxx was a blast. I actually got pretty good at tuning a nitro motor. Was fun.

Got any links to some good sites where you can buy these things? I have been wanting one for a while now. Thanks

I have a Clodbuster that I built up. Bought new in the box, put alum chassis and 4 link, boggers, snow plow, made a cowl hood and visor. Super glued the diffs, have 13d modified motors and crawler motors, adjustable motor mounts, 9 tooth pinion, and more, but been awhile since I messed with it. With the boggers, when flexed they hit the shock, so got some 3/4" spacers. Now the plow is way too small, so had a bigger blade made. Then the stock servo wouldn't lift it, so now have giant scale servo on it now. Had 44oz. servos, the giants are 375oz. Then every time I picked the blade up, it would break the chain. I don't have any pics of it, need to get some. But with the crawler motor and gear, it has a crapload of power and will run for an hour at least. (with 2 batteries)

i have a revo 3.3, i changed the body to the dodge ram mega cab(not fond of dodges but its a diesel..lol)....bogger look alike tires called swamp dog tires.... its 4x4 and goes in the 40 mph range

I bet my RC car can kick your RC car's a** :D

I know, I know , not exactly what you were refering to, but it IS rc , and it is electric (480 volt) . Mine can rock crawl, but usually I just break them up first:D. Oh and boggerless if you dont want to know the prices on the little one , you really dont want to know the price tag on this one:eek1:

Obijuan on here has a bad ass rig. It inspired me to build one of my K5, but I lost interest in the build when I swapped axles. I need a new chassis and a new xfer case/tranny. Here is how it sits now...

I've had a dozen other R/Cs from Micro-Ts to HPI Bajas over the past few years.

Yeah. I shortened the front of the bed and made a complete interior (floors, scale Tuffy console, door panels) and put in seats from a cheap Wally World special Jeep.

go to rccrawler.com they have a great message board like here but for rc crawler and you can get some sweet deals in the classified sections. My whole current truck I pieced together from there.
