I have wanted one of these for a while, I also know someone making a couple but its a little way off before his couplers and parts are made and I could really use it. Right now I carry nitrogen for business use, and while its convenient to use its not cheap. Last month I went through 4 tanks.

I think OBA using a York would be much better money spent and produce more air. That thing cost 1K and you can do several York systems for cheaper than that.

Id loosely agree with you.

By the time I get a reman York, the right pulley, spend a few hours mounting and making brackets to bolt it up.. sounds like the gap gets closer.

Im going to see if someone makes a ls bracket for the york yet.

Is this just for filling the occasional tire? If so I'd just get a CO2 tank. Cheap to fill and lasts a looooong time with just filling tires. Plus you can run tools if need be. Overall a much simpler setup for just the basics plus you can swap it from truck to truck depending on your needs.

reman yorks on evilbay all the time for under 200.

or just get the whole kit from kilbey and bolt it on. and get 10cfm at 90psi.

and fill a 35" tire from 5psi to 35 psi in under 1 min at 800-900rpm . electric nice but draws some big amps.

then again 6-1 half a dozen or the other. :dunno:

 , Would have to be pretty big tires :D

Ive had co2, and with N20 on the truck there would be no point if it was just for a tire here and there.

I would like to use an impact, maybe a abrasive disk to clean/prep parts on site when needed and for airing back up or filling the trailer tires when needed. I use a blow gun a lot/enough that that would be handy too.

Not sure why but the york is a turn off ifs its going on the engine, they are awesome I just think I want to go all enclosed and electric.

At any rate, its time vs fab again. I have one on the way after thinking about it all day:thumb: I hope I like it.

I also want to pick up a higher amp alternator for a h2 or escalade, I did this on the buggy as well but I cant recall the amps but it was like 40 or so higher than the stock lq4 truck engine.

It also looks like a second battery will be in order but ill have to do some learning on how to wire the thing, should be awesome for the winch too:thumb:

Toys toys toys:pimp:

I post up how it goes and hope that I am happy with it.

For the price tag + a second batt + alternator I hope you're happy too. I don't think you can really go wrong just different opinions. Let us know how it works out!

as much as i like the york idea. if i can help it i will NEVER buy a thing from that man.

he use to sell a imple bracket for 50 bucks. then he jumped the price 3x on it out of the blue and i dont see why the huge price jump. and few questions i have asked him his responce is kind of stuckup/snobb like he dont give 2 sh!ts and knows he is the man.

thats why i was glad 1 day and found a craigslist sale for a like new comp/serp clutch and bracket for just what i needed for the price of 1 of his brackets only. :D ya its his stuff. but i got my moneys worth compared to his prices.

Happy birthday to me, well a few weeks early but whateva

:D

So far have only used it to try to break my table and screwed in the 2 ports im lost on where I actually want to mount this thing.

I really do not want to have to climb in the bed to the front, I do not want it near the back and I do not want to give up room in my side doors

Dangit.

Currently trying to see what I need to do to wire a second battery the correct way.

Hmmm just saw this post. I see you bought one already, but I would have really really looked hard at a VMAC oba kit...... man OH man a couple of our new F450 service trucks have them on. Oh heaven I swear it. granted they are not cheap but they really are the cadillac of underhood compressors. and a sweet kit.

I did look at them, they do not have a kit for my year. I talked to a rep about making one of their 07 and up 6.0 kits work and he said it would not fit.

I have seen these on a fleet of f-450 service trucks, pimp:pimp:

Oh bummer for no chevy love. I don't have one on my service truck but the 2 new trucks got them. I'm jealous.
