real quick R&P question on Dana 60

so a Dana 60 is falling into my lap.
its 4.10
i want it to be 4.88 to match my current rear

is that right? i know i'd need the thick cut gears, but do i do reverse cut to put them in the front? not sure how these chingaderras work.

if its a ford high pinion dana 60 then yes .

if low pinion gm/dodge need other gears for low pinion and carrier swap to a 4.56-up break carrier. as the split is 4.10 / 4.56

crap . is there no way to get the thicker gears to make up for it? i'd rather avoid finding a new carrier too.

Use a ring gear spacer. It's not the best way to do it but it will work alright. I ran one in a front 60 w/ 5.13's & 44's without issues.
