As I'm redoing the interior I'm working up some tunes. Im going to incoorporate some low-pro enclosures into the rear 1/4's using MDF and fiberglass.

I've been searching for reviews on the shallow mount speakers on the market and really looking heavily at the Pioneers, specifically the 1201-S4's. Retail around 200/ea. Or I could run JL's TW5, but prices at over $400 ea.

So are any of you running shallow mount speakers? Have a good review of one. I've decked out a standard cab with nice tunes but not a fullsize K5, big difference in air volume.

I'm running some 10" shallow mount kenwoods. Decent set of speakers even with very little air volume behind them.

just mount them on the same side of the truck. if you mount em on each side facing each other, the soundwaves will cancel each other out and the sound quality will be diminished greatly.

Been slow progress but since the interior is finished, I've moved on to audio. Yesetrday I dropped the coin for some new audio gear. Running RF Power series component speakers, 400w 4-channel and Pioneer head unit.

Audio install was pretty much a scratch build, everything had to be cut. yadda yadda yadda

Amp is rear mounted, behind panel. Need to buzz the dash for the deck then cut up some aluminum diamond plate I have laying down for a dash panel insert.

Pics coming later tonight.
