rear 52'' or 56" leaf springs?

Tuff Country makes two types or rear springs a 52in or 56in. On a 78 k5 what length would this be? I think I have to measure this while the original leaf spring is out. Yet I would like to order the kit first. Why to types?

You will 52" springs.
56" springs came on 1 tons and some 3/4 tons.

The K5 came with the optional heavy duty front springs rpo f60. would this still be 52in?

52" rear.
all the front springs are 48"
and yes all K5's have 52" rear springs.

Mine is an '89, i had a friend that had an '87 that had 52's,, i dunno though, just stating what i saw

I want to say 1980 as I've seen a few 79's with 52's.

I'm thinking about putting 1 ton running gear in the K5. This would be the 14 bolt FF rear and Dana 60 front. Would I still need 52in springs or would I need 56in?

Or do a shacke flip and run some stock 56s from a 1ton.

if true 1ton rear axle then spring perches moved and shock tabs moved. 2" narrow on 1ton to clear drw setup if equiped from factory.

and if shackle flip bolt the brackets on backwards of directions to get the spring eye bolt hole in the correct place for 56" . basicly swap left to right and right to left.

speaking of 52" rear springs....where is the cheapest place to get them? I decided to go that route and am shopping.

I don't know about going with the cheapest. Unless you don't mind the buck board ride. ORD sells tuff country. They ride and flex decent and in my opinion they are priced well.

I'm running 6", 52" Rough Country springs in the rear...

I need a neck brace, helmet, and a chiropractor on call when I'm offroading...

BUT you said cheap and that they were (BTW, I would never buy them again!)

I have tuff country fronts, so i was expecting to do the same for the rear. best place/price to order them?

i have priced a few places and its all about the same as www.offroaddesign.com and thay are a vendor here. might save 15-20 bucks other places in the end.
