rear axel u-bolt plate

Whats a good vechicle to steal a u-bolt/spring top plate from. I want to ditch the upside down ones on a rear axle (FF14B).

Also, anyone put a shim on top of the spring pack to compansate for one at the bottom? I don't like the way the front spring plates sit, especally on the right side with the bolts.

Not sure on the spring plate thing. Lots of vendors here make them though.

On the D60 Pass side I would suggest putting another shim on the top of the pack. The cap needs to sit flush like you mentioned
