Rear brake adjuster lever assembly. Is this correct?

Not to me. What is the axle ? I am thinking the spring should be silver in color. those green springs say shoe return spring to me.

The left one could be good the right side doesn't look good at all. The spring is all wrong.

Image stolen from rockauto 1987 k5 chosen as sample.

I can only assume it is the OEM axle. 85 K5. The springs were in the pack with the adjuster brackets, not the full spring kit. So they should be the correct ones.

Unfortunately I could not get a pic of it all assembled after removing the drum. Disassembly required drilling the keeper pins out from the back and excessive hammering on the drums. A lot of the parts just fell out when the drums finally came off.

I think you got the wrong side spring on the right adjuster lever.

If that's the case, then so did the last person. I'm glad to see i'm not the only one who is confused by GM's choice of parts here. I don't remember the pieces on my old pontiac being this confusing. Then again that was half my life ago. Here are the adjusters that I pulled off the k5. These are what I modeled my assembly against. I did notice that my new right side spring was not quite pushed in all the way. I remedied that but my new springs still look all crooked while these old ones look nice and straight.
