For everything, I am looking at nearly $500.... new drums are $166 a piece for my 8600# drums.... I want the best shoes and all new hardware, including wheel cylinders.
I know DIY is working on a rear disc conversion for my year, but are there ones out there now? I have removable drums, 89 and newer I think is the model for my brakes. I know it's an easy swap, and with needed to get new seals and beartings for the back, I might as well do EVERYTHING.
I would really like to have a parking brake, resting all 3 tons of the burb on the trans isn't my idea of safe.
Yes, I have a 10.5 14bolt, so I am looking for everything, or at least the parts I can't buy off the shelf to do the swap.
Also, does anyone make a better front braking system? Isn't there a Kidney shaped front caliper piston setup? With 37's and ABSD< I can stop, but it isn't a quick thing sometimes.
Lastly, I often lose my pedal pressure and get a sound like a squashed goose when I brake over rough rods...scary when you have 1000 lbs of firewood in the back, but it isn't load dependant.
ANy help?

Stay tuned for coming attractions :D There will be something available for you very soon. Hopefully within a week or so. ;)
