I need some help with getting started on repairing the rear hatch on the Grinch.

I can do most body work but have never done glassing.

Can someone layout the steps to repairing the pics I have below. Make it simple enough to include prep and what chemicals to buy as well as the process to finish it. The support hinge worries me the most, It's broken out enough to make the hinge move around. I'm concerned the hinge will just pull out. The crack along the glass is actually all the way thru. I'm sure I will have to pull the seal. (And buy a new one). Old and hard.

I did a search but didn't come up with anything that would really help me. There was mention of some "Ryoken step by step paper" but I couldn't find it.

Thanks

I have some pics in my thread about repairing my hatch. I can't touch Ryoken quality, but heres my experience from doing it a few times.

Buy TONS of thick rubber gloves, plastic cups, and stir sticks. Change gloves often! Don't wear any clothes you plan on keeping afterwards. :)

For the long skinny cracks, I would use a grinder to V out the crack without breaking through to the other side (any more than necessary). Then fill up a container with just a little bit of resin and add fiberglass "chop" to the resin until it's super thick. Then pack that into the groove without making it squeeze through to the inside. You might do it in a few layers to help avoid air bubbles. If you can get something on the backside to keep it from squeezing though, even better.

The structural stuff on the hinge is tougher, so I'll let experts reply on those.
