Is the rear blazer seat in the 80's (86ish) a fold and tumble? Also what's the width of the factory rear seat?

Thanks!

my 85 is fold and tumble. And is damn near the width of the wheel wells. Maybe ~1-2" shorter on each side.

From the 1986 brochure, sounds like fold and tumble rear seat was standard:

My '81 seats are fold & tumble. I got mine at the junkyard for 25 bucks! Its blue velvet.
There is 1.25 " CLR on each side if you remove the armrests. I did a mini tub on mine & wanted to keep the back seat:

I can get you an exact measurement of the width of the seat when I get home.

I have an 86, it folds and tumbles... The release is on one side or the other... I'm thinking drivers side, but not sure. I'm thinking about taking mine out anyway... Not too many people I know would want to sit back there anyhow. (Plus I don't like the red/burgundy I've got)

sorry
This is what I'm talking about. It locks the seat forward when tumbled. That's how my 85 is anyway. Either way, there is no room for it when tubbed

tubbed is what he did, sort of
it's just when you add to the existing wheel wells or cut them out and make entirely new ones

For those that are wondering, all '78-'91 rear seats are fold and tumble. '73-'77 are stationary.

Are there any articles about people swapping later fold and tumbles into the earlier stationary Blazers? I took my seat out cause it uses too much space but would love to put one back in.

don't see why you couldn't
but you'll need the pins in the floor, would be easy enough to cut some holes and put plates in from a newer blazer.

I have done it. Well, almost. I still need to finish it. I didn't use the factory mounting system for a couple reasons. One, the seat would be too close to the floor and there would be no legroom due to the flat floor of my '77. Two, there would also not be enough floor clearance for the seat to tumble forward completely. I spaced up the front mounts to give about 3 more inches of room. At the rear, I still need to mount square-type u-bolts to the floor, for the seat to latch onto. The only downside to this will be the u-bolts sticking up out of the floor when the seat is tumbled.
