this setup look o.k. ?

its a k30 with front hangers for rear . then diy4x 6" long shackles . 56" rear springs from 3/4 ton suburban at 2600lbs per pack over the k30 3400lbs per pack springs .hanger's are 55 1/2" apart like stock hangers would be . measured off another truck of mine .

there is no box on it yet in the pic . in the am i will add a 500lb weight to the rear of the truck to simulate the box on it .

seems to flex and move easy with moving the bumper on the rear .

trying this combo as its what i have on hand and no real budget to spend = budget beater build truck .

Looks ok for no weight on
Put a load on and let's see.
I think you could move the hangar in a bit

I'd go 55" but honestly, there is no substitute for weight simulation.

500-550lbs of weight on the bumper ( my ballast weight for snow plowing in the winter ) . new angle pic . yes it did move some trust me .

going to try and do the 55" spacing like @cybrfire said to try .

That is pretty creative to use those beefy factory rigid rear frame hangers for a shackle hanger.

ya seen a few over the years . most guys just do the buy - n - bolt on method tho . but my plan for this build is use what i got on hand .

Id stay there i think. Look like pretty hefty springs but by the time you get it done, theyll squat a little more.

thanks buddy .

as to springs there are the lightest 56" you can get stock replacement of 2600lbs per pack .

took them apart today and cleaned them up and quick spray can paint job and back together . figure this far apart why not since the north rust was setting in .
