Did a search on here and got a few ideas but just wanna ask you guys, i wanna relocate the rear shocks with a new cross member. My question is, where is a good place to buy a kit for this, and do the mounts on the axle side need to change?

perfect! just what i was looking for. And im assuming if you do the upper mount relocation you need to change the rear mounts too?

Here is Kurt's kit in my truck.

and if i understand right, it is located by a rivet on the bottom of the frame and then you need to drill holes on the sides?

Note that the more you angle the shocks in, like Readymix's second pic, you lose effectiveness in the shock. I mess with this (along with flexier springs) and my truck got way floppy. I've ended up going back to the stock mounting arrangement.

Also, it's kinda full back there with exhaust and such so there's more room outside the frame than in, for me.

When I got my new shocks I mounted them in the far outside position It was more stable as Dremu mentioned.

Yeah, I cheaped out and made my own mount and didn't drill multiple holes like Kert's :doah: Plus I had soft shocks.
