Rear Slider glass Weatherstripping

I'll look it up. got it from LMC, didn't really plan to use it alot. It was like $7. There you go locking strip tool, kinda weird to figure it out,( which direction you push-pull) but after you do its simple with a spray bottle of soapy water

For what it's worth, I've removed and installed numerous side windows with a couple of flat blade screw drivers and hot soapy water. I would like to have the tool, but never have the foresight to order it before I need it - and then I don't want to bother going around town trying to find it locally.

I removed the tab and pulled out the molding strip but I can't seem to get the glass out of the seal. What's the trick? I don't wanna chip or break the glass.

Start at one corner, I have some plastic pry bars i got from harbor freight, work the lip of the seal out. Once you get it going at see the glass its pretty easy. I would pull the top of glass out first so its supported by the bottom. Almost dropped one....
Its not that bad.

I think this is what Beebob was saying, but when I've removed the glass, the glass stays in the gasket the whole time.

So, step 1: Remove gasket locking strip
Step 2: Get hot soapy water all over the gasket material.
Step 3: Remove glass with gasket still on.

Doing this in bright sunlight can help keep the gasket pliable too. Sometimes, getting inside the truck and running a flat-blade screw driver or similar implement between the gasket and fiberglass will help to get things started. Soapy water in there is also helpful.

i tried that method the first time, and this = cracked window. (except it was a windshield.)

Dang! For what it's worth,I've been given quite a few windows from folks trying to get rid of their tops. Keep your eyes open, because they can be had for free/cheap.

Slade001, do you need a solid glass or a sliding window?
I have a set of sliders, I switched to solids.

That's exactly what I was doing. The sliders I have right now all cracked and the wings are shot. I appreciate the offer. Never thought the glass would be so expensive. Can't find any on CG or eBay right now. If you spot any solids please keep me in mind.

Thanks
