This has been brought up before, but the conclusion was that all the aftermarket weatherstripping doesn't fit the channels, and the glass is too loose and does not fit right. Or the product doesn't even fit in the channel and allow the glass to slide.
I have been trying to look for a good top here with solid windows, but none exist that have good seals. I have already painted my top, sealed it up 95% of the way, and this is the last small thing that stands in my way of some good sliding windows that do not leak water.

Found this website and think we can find something that will work.
I am away from the K5 at the moment, so I can't measure the channel now. Anyone here have access to measure one of the channels and let me know the dimensions?

Then I'll compare it to the list here, and hopefully get something close enough to make due with, and at a lesser price than LMC.

Is that for the actual seal that goes around the window frame and seals it to the topper? I know those seals are readily avail, but the actual channel rubber is the elusive one.

It says it's for the sliding window. They have other ones listed for the top seal and for stationary windows, so I'm guessing it's the correct one. I'd give them a call and see if they can send you a pic and give you more info. :deal:

Will do tomorrow morning, I will update the thread when I have more info.

Any updates OP? My slider window track seals are dry rotted to pieces. I can't even slide them.

Not yet. All I learned is that no one is making a perfect replacement. All the products that say they are the correct weather stripping are way to small and don't fill the channel out. So still looking. I got a lead on a couple glass and window shops here, I'm going to call them soon once I have some time.

In the catalog there is a drawing of every weather strip in the vehicle.

You should order a catalog, it's free.

When I get home from work I will look it up.

?What about the seal that go inside the aluminum frame? there is the sweeper between the two glass sliders. the split rubber seal that the sliding glass slides in. and the rubber piece that goes around the stationary glass. any leads on those parts???

That's the one I'm looking for, and have been totally stumped. :doah:
I have been saving coin for a soft top, so I haven't put too much thought into this for a while. I also have a leak in the front of my cab somewhere that I need to deal with, then I will be back onto looking for these. I may end up ordering something custom.

Gonna stop by a local Mom and Pop hardware store that has a glass shop. They do store fronts and stuff like that. Maybe Ill get lucky, and find something we can all use.

SO... I gave up with the sliders and found a hardtop with solid windows. Snatched it up, pulled the glass, cleaned, slapped some tint on was able to use my old rubber seal to install (cleaned up great). Pics to come this week.

Now I have a set of sliders i dont need. You need them or pieces off them let me know...

Here is the pics of the change. I went with 20% tint that has the thermal layer, what ever that is. looks good.

Took a 6 pack, the tool for getting the molding strip installed in seal. I was able to reuse my orignal seal (between the slider and hardtop) to install the solid glass, They cleaned up real good with so cleaner and a stiff toothbrush. Used a little sealant between the rubber and hardtop just for good measure. Some squeezed out just let it dry and trimmed it off. Tinting them was easy with them out.

Good luck
