I'm having trouble with the rear ewindow sticking on my 83 Jimmy. It stops about 3" from the top. Then I have to get out and tap the top of the tailgate and it will usually go on up. Or have someone lightly push in on the glass as it goes up, then it won't catch at all. It doesn't do this while I'm driving, I guess the wind kinda pushes it in some. I've taken it apart and can't find where it's catching or if there's something missing. Sorry for the long ? just thinking someone else has had this before. Thanks, Russell

I've had the same problem.
If you take the access panel off the gate, you will probably find the bottom window rail(the one that holds the glass) is hitting the window motor.

That or your guides are shot. They're little fuzzy deal on the sides that the glass rides in.
